Hello! I'm Julian Mcfadden
I’m currently building my Oahu wedding and couples portfolio. I'm looking to partner with local couples for select photography opportunities in exchange for travel. Oahu is a place close to my heart where much of my family lives, and I’d love to spend more time on the island capturing real love stories while expanding my presence in Hawaii. If you’re planning an Oahu wedding or session and open to a flight exchange arrangement, I’d love to connect and create something beautiful together.

This portfolio showcases weddings from Oahu as well as the Pacific Northwest. My photography style is candid and documentary-inspired, capturing real emotions and authentic connections. I use relaxed, interactive guidance to help couples feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, resulting in timeless images full of life and love.

Where are you flying in from?
I’m based in Beaverton, Oregon, with strong family roots on Oahu in Kaneohe, Hawaii. I travel to the island frequently to visit family and photograph weddings, elopements, and engagement sessions. Because of these regular trips, I’m able to offer flexible travel options for Oahu couples looking for professional photography and videography coverage.
Do you travel across Oahu?
Absolutely! I travel anywhere on Oahu to photograph weddings and sessions. Whether your celebration is in Honolulu, Waikiki, Kailua, North Shore, Kaneohe, Kapolei, Ko Olina, or anywhere in between, I’m happy to meet you wherever your wedding day takes place.
Do you photograph destination weddings?
Yes! I specialize in destination weddings and love working with couples traveling to Hawaii for their celebration. I’m experienced in photographing beach weddings, resort ceremonies, and intimate elopements across Oahu. If you’re planning a destination wedding from the mainland or abroad, I’ll help make the photography process simple and stress-free.
How far in advance should we book?
For Oahu weddings, I recommend booking as soon as you have your date and venue secured. Most couples book between 6 and 12 months in advance, especially for popular wedding dates and venues. However, I’m always happy to check availability for last-minute weddings and elopements whenever possible.
Can you help plan timelines?
Yes! I help every couple create a photography timeline that fits their wedding day perfectly. From the best time for sunset portraits to coordinating family photos and ceremony coverage, I’ll guide you through the entire planning process so your day flows smoothly and stress-free.
Do you photograph elopements?
Definitely. I love photographing Oahu elopements of all sizes—from simple beach ceremonies to adventurous island celebrations. Whether it’s just the two of you or a small gathering of close family and friends, I’ll capture your day in a natural, meaningful, and beautiful way.
